Macaroni & Cheese

Easy, nutritious, kid-approved and delicious, this macaroni and cheese is a favourite with big kids and little ones too!

  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tbsp Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Chicken Stock (chicken or vegetable stock)
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese (grated cheese such as mild cheddar)
  • 2 cup Macaroni (cooked pasta (elbow macaroni, alphabet pasta))
  1. Heat oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat.

  2. Add flour and cook 2 minutes.

  3. Gradually pour in milk and stock, and simmer until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.  (You may have to remove from heat.)

  4. Gently stir in grated cheese.

  5. Pour sauce over the cooked pasta.
