Food Bytes – Brown Rice and Lentils

Andrea Howick of whereparentstalk.stagingserver.cloud/ whips up a quick, easy, healthy dinner in minutes.

  • 1 cup Lentils (dry)
  • 1 cup Brown Rice
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 8 cup Water
  1. Rinse lentils and discard any debris.

  2.  Place lentils in a saucepan with water. Simmer for 20 minutes.

  3. Add the rice and cook another 30 minutes, until tender and all water is absorbed.

  4. Serve with a scoop of plain, full fat yogurt. Makes 2 cups (500 ml) rice and lentils.
